Cooking Tips

The Flying Cowgirls Texas Grass Fed beef cooks quickly due to its very low fat content. Be very careful not to overcook it!

There is not much shrinkage in the lean beef, unlike conventional corn fed beef.

Add an egg white or the whole egg if you prefer, to the ground meat before forming hamburger patties. This will help hold the patties together on the grill.

A medium hot fire works best for grilling.

To broil, position the meat a little farther from the heat than you would with conventional meat. It will cook very quickly, so keep an eye on it! Broiling slightly frozen meat keeps the meat juicier.

For Tenderloin and Ribeye rolls, wrap tightly in aluminum foil and bake at 275° for 25 minutes per pound. This should give you a pink center!
